Cape Tachimachi is located facing the Tsugaru Strait in Sumiyoshi-Cho, Hakodate City. Since it is located on a cliff at the Tsugaru Strait, it has a good view, and you can see the Shimokita Peninsula on a sunny day. At night, squid fishing boats on the Tsugaru Straits are catching fish using fire lures, making it a tourist attraction in Hakodate. Tourists can go uphill in about 20 minutes from the Hakodate Tram stop to reach the cape.
