The Hoheikyo Dam is a dam constructed in the upper reaches of the Toyohira River. Located in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, it is also famous for its autumn colors. There is Jozankei Onsen downstream. Jozankei, Lake Jozan, and Hoheikyo are known as one of the best spots for autumn leaves in Hokkaido, and were selected as one of the 100 Selected Dam Lakes. A promenade, an observatory, a rest house, etc. are maintained near the Hoheikyo Dam.
