Mt. Moiwa is a mountain located about 5 kilometers southwest of the center of Sapporo, Hokkaido. [3] An altitude of 531 meters. You can reach the summit in 4 minutes by ropeway. From the mountaintop observatory, you can overlook the Ishikari Plain and Ishikari Bay. The night view, along with Mt. Hakodate in Hakodate City and Mt. Tengu in Otaru City, is considered to be one of the "three major night views of Hokkaido" and has been certified as one of Japan's "100 Night Views". Sapporo Mt. Moiwa Ski Resort is located in the southeastern direction of the mountaintop, and is popular with the citizens as a ski resort that can be easily reached from Sapporo city.
