Introduction - Since Hakodate is located in the north of Japan, the cherry blossoms bloom about a month later than in Tokyo and Osaka. The best time to see is from late April to early May. Goryokaku Park has the most cherry blossoms, with 1,600 flowers. The next most famous is Hakodate Park, which has 700 cherry blossoms, but it is crowded with open air. Also, Sasanagare Dam, Ishizakijinushikai Shrine, and weeping cherry blossoms at Hokkiji Temple are famous in the city.
